Professionally, Lyle worked as a sales manager and school district treasurer. He sought to live out his faith in Jesus by being a servant in every area of his life, and sought the good of all he came into contact with. He is preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister Lila and his daughter Sharon. He is survived by wife Edna, sister Marj, son Mark and granddaughter Lucie.
